A little past the White Lion Hotel a minor road leads to Rooking and the start of the ascent, follow this road to the end and you will come to a path that leads to the right along the fellside.
The path runs along the fellside to Boredale Hause, it is narrow with some steep edges so care is needed, but it is easy to follow.
Once you reach the top of Boredale Hause , to the right is Angle Tarn and the path to the left is Place Fell, the path is a good path that starts rising steeper and turns into a stone pitched path to help erosion.
Looking along the summit ridge to the trig point from the top of the gully, the path is clear in good weather, some sections can get boggy, the trig point is in sight now for the final approach.
Final little scramble to the summit trig point with great views of the surrounding fells.
It seemed a longer walk when we did it, not sure if that's because Ariya was not even 3 so we took it really slow.
Still it is a great walk, we did plenty of snack stops to encourage the little legs and she done amazing. Its a pretty straight forward in clear weather and no scrambling or edges.
