SITUATED IN BLACKBURN WITH FANTASTIC VIEWS FROM THE TOWER ACROSS LANCASHIRE AND THE YORKSHIRE DALES
2SF BELGRAVE ROAD ( ROADSIDE PARKING)
MILES-3 MILES approx
FACILITIES- No facilities on route when we visited
The park Has various entrances and road side parking, we parked at the bottom by the main entrance, which is at the bottom of the hill with large gated opening.
Through the gates to the right is a children's play area, and in front of you a large memorial statue with a pond behind it.
The walk goes through the forest, with various waterfalls ( small) wooden statues, a giant chair which the kids enjoy stopping at, plus plenty of birds and ducks to see, it is well maintained and great paths with things to see along the way.
At the top of the park we crossed the road and followed the path which goes through a gate and begins to rise steeply, this was a good solid path from here to the summit of Darwen tower.
You can walk to the top of the tower via some steps, its worth the trip for the views across Lancashire.
There is various options at the tower to make it a circular or return the same way.
