All walked with our kids, and correct at the time we walked them, but please check local websites for updates on parking and restrictionsw.

We use OS maps and plot our routes beforehand, the walks vary depending on how far you want too walk from 1.5 miles which is ideal for toddlers.

These are correct at the time we visited, some paths may be muddy or uneven, some May of changed so be prepared to turn back if needed or check websites for updated information as required.

Good forest trail from Brinscall too White coppice waterfalls ( return the same way)

Too explore the waterfall and ruins you need a baby carrier as this is not suitable for

prams, muddy in the forest and you can extent up to Great Hill summit with good hikers.

Educational | nature | geo caches | reservoir| waterfall | Buggy walk aorund the reservoir and a forest. Can also walk up to Hog Low Pike which is a nice walk for bigger hikers.

Walks from 1-10 miles, would recommend Os maps as routes are not marked out.

🔸Free Car park( pay and display machine has been closed for 2 years) for reservoir buggy walk circular, can explore more old farm and quarry ruins plus secret waterfall and trig point but this section is for walkers.

A variety of walks. Sailing, wind surfing and fishing. Benches to sit and enjoy the scenic views. Circular walk aorund the reservoir for Prams, or options too extend a higher level walk using OS Maps.

The circular walk around Entwistle Reservoir is just over 2.5 miles and is quite flat. Now it can be very wet with the paths flooded right across in places, so care is needed.

From Lytham

So much along this walk to keep everyone entertained. Large Beach, play areas, monuments, Geo cache, lake, rides, cafe, can walk as long as you wish on well surfaces pavement, it’s a flat walk on well surfaced paths, with something too keep the little ones entertained throughout.

Approx 1 mile Pram walk or up to 2 miles for those walking. Probably not enough there too keep older ones occupied but it’s good for a couple of hour visit.

Beautiful Valley walk | river | play area |cafe and toilets, great for terrain prams, paddle in the water.

Forest path, walking alongside the river Dunstop.

🗺 On OS maps from the car park turn right and past the cafe, the first turning into the cafe car park leads too the play area, this path crosses a bridge which has steps past the play area, but if you have a buggy go past the cafe and take the next right turning too miss the bridge unless it’s a small buggy or can be folded up. The path from here is then great, we walked up too the information point in the valley, it’s just a beautiful valley.

Birch Hills walk and tramper trail 1.3 miles | nature | Bike trails | Orienteering | Cafe | small play area | picnic areas, suitable for Baby carriers, various walks in the area including the reservoir.

Nature trails, forest trails, lakes, old castle ruins, bigger hikers get add a trig point, Japanese gardens and more ruins.

( The upper area of Rivington has uneven surfaces and stairs but suitable for baby carriers)

Cafe and Information point, some paths are possible with terrain pram, the paths are rough in sections and muddy.

Roddlesworth woods also hosts a permanent orienteering course, maps can be purchased from the cafe for £1.00.

Hollinshead well ruins in the forest is worth a visit for walkers.

Iconic Ashton Memorial and 54 acres of beautiful parkland.

Witton Country Park covers 480 acres of countryside, picnic spots, walks, nature trails, a new large play area, smaller play areas, a visitor centre, Wainwrights memorial, leisure centre, regular events and access trails- we did manage a terrain buggy up to Wainwrights memorial, this was muddy, some steps and a field with two of us and a toddler who could be lifted out when needed.

This country park is a bit of a hidden gem with a mixture of woodland walks, meadows and playing fields, free maze, railway which is open on Sundays, stream and mini waterfall, large play area for all ages, toilets and cafe.

Trampers can be hired from Wycoller Country Park, Disabled toilet facilities

Baby carrier recommended and you can walk up to the Atom sculpture as the path is narrow and muddy, or options too park by the Atom.
